Day of Rest

In need of a day of rest. Meanwhile... 

Work on pacing - reading each passage in 8 minutes or less.  This is CRITICAL to your success on the test.  You MUST read the passages at a faster than usual pace and read the entire passage BEFORE answering the questions to avoid unnecessary mistakes in judgement.  

Also, if you have a copy of the REAL ACT, practice identifying the first 4 question types:

Watch the videos as often as needed.

ACT Structure Questions
Pacing Strategies
General Reading Strategies on the ACT

REMEMBER, 
  • 1/3 of the questions will be Detail questions. 
  •  Deductive Questions are "Inference" Questions. 
  • Focus on the BIG IDEAS, not the minor details.  Read and reread the first and second paragraphs, as needed, to get the gist or the main idea
